View/listen to, study and show understanding of a visual text.

INSTRUCTIONS

You should answer ONE of the questions. You are advised to spend 30 minutes on this question.

In this activity you will write about ONE visual text (a film) you have studied in class.

Choose ONE question. Write at least 200 words.

Support your points with specific details from the text. Your essay must contain quotations.

1. Describe a character that you liked in the text.
Explain why you liked this character.

2. Briefly describe what happened at the beginning of the text.

Explain how your interest was captured at the beginning of the text.

3. Many visual texts contain happy or sad endings.

Describe what happened at the ending of your text.

Explain why the ending was happy or sad and why you think the text ended this way.

4. Write a review of the film for a teenage newspaper.

Explain to teenagers why they should/should not see this film.

5. A visual text should teach the viewer valuable lessons about life.

Explain what your visual text taught you.
