Dear Parents / Caregivers

As we begin the second term our thoughts and prayers are still with the staff, students and families of Elim Christian College as they try to come to terms with the tragedy that struck them. In a community such as ours many of you would have had links with those directly involved and while working through your own grief were in a position to be able to lend support. We as a school gave all the support that we could. Many of our students wrote cards and letters that were taken to the school. The Elim Christian Community through the media and the public nature of the funeral services were outstanding examples of Christian values, beliefs and expectations. In the end, it is their faith that will see them through. I believe that through the manner in which they dealt with and accepted this tragedy they have done an enormous amount for Christianity in this country. May God continue to bless them all.
