by Suvishka Singh

The deserts moulded a woman
Who came clothed with flowers
And the colours of the sky
When God created the hills and the valleys
And the perfect night.

She touched the earth
And captured its beauty in her smile
With her words colours wove
Into tapestries of endless time.

Collected the rains of doubt
And kept them in her basket
Close to her heart for unlovely thoughts
She carried a jewel casket.

An epitome of perfection was she
Came for the sake of humanity
With wisps of the night’s air embedded in her eyes
Not one being she saw did she intentionally despise
Calm waters flowed through her mind
And patience she had not for revengeful crime
Warmth radiated from her acts of kindness
She did not possess the common mans made-up blindness.

Protected and preserved the world for those yet to be
Rid of all evil and unjust debris
Currently residing for all eternity....

....So as long as her sky is blue
                       and her earth is round
she can almost always be found
for Mother Nature is forever bound.
