Sancta Maria College Academic Honours

To recognise the achievements of the senior students a special academic honours assembly was held to congratulate them on their success.

For our students who strive to achieve the best possible academic results, they needed to work hard all through the NCEA achievement standards of 2016 to be honoured today.

In the Sancta Maria College community students are encouraged to strive for excellence. With this in mind the following standards have been set in order to gain an award:

Silver: 60+ Excellence credits Level 1 and 50+ excellence credits Level 2 and 3.

Gold: 80+ Excellence credits Level 1 and 60+ Excellence credits Level 2 and 3.

Platinum: 100+ excellence credits across all levels.

A total of 129 students from Sancta Maria achieved these outstanding and demanding milestones.

From Level 1, 10 students managed to gain platinum while 11 students earned gold and a solid number of 23 earned silver.

Level 2 2016 students earned 7 platinum awards, 29 gold and 9 silver.

And our Level 3 students of 2016, gained 5 platinum, 27 gold and 8 silver.

We congratulate not only those who received honours but everyone who tried to the best of their ability. We wish those who are continuing with NCEA this year that their efforts be rewarded and that they continue to strive for excellence in their academic studies.
