Tournament Week so far

A good week so far for our 1st XI hockey girls who are through to the quarter final after winning their three pool games and our Junior basketballers who secured a top ten finish.

1st XV Boys – Rugby Festival – Had a good first day in the lovely weather. Played some tough games against Orewa, Rangitoto and Rosehill College. Only losing by one try in most of the games. Boys are away again today with another two tough battles.

1st XI Hockey Girls – Mary Clinton Cup, Wanganui – The Sancta girls won all 3 games in pool play, 3-2 win v Onslow College, 5-1 v Sacred Heart Lower Hutt, 3-1 win vs Northcote College and took out Pool D. They play in the quarter final today at 3pm vs Hutt Valley High School.

UNISS Prem Netball Girls – The girls on Day 1 started fantastically with a 38-8 win over Hauraki Plains but had a tough game vs Tauhara losing 38-22. On to day 2, the morning game was a super tight affair with the girls making a late comeback, unfortunately they just missed out losing 20-18 against Sacred Heart. The girls finished the day off strongly beating Whangaparaoa College 33-18. Today they are back in action against Waihi at 12pm and Taupo-Nui-a-Tia at 4.30pm.

Junior Basketball Prems – Yesterday was the final day of action for our Junior Prem Boys after starting play on Saturday. They played Pukekohe and lost 45-80, played Westlake Boys in a real tough match up and also had a loss, placing last in their pool. They moved onto play off for places 9th to 13th. They came away with a dominating win over Kelston Boys High 89-58 and Whangerei Boys 108-56. They played Massey High School for the 9th-10th position, unfortunately going down 94-92 but making the top 10. Awesome effort after a tough start.
