9A lead the way

Great teamwork, communication and sportsmanship were shown out on the Howick Pakuranga netball courts this Saturday, with the teams achieving some fabulous results! Despite the weather changes throughout the day all teams played exceptionally well and continue to do so as the competition progresses.

One of the teams that played exceptionally well and that has done so this whole season is that of SMC 9A (C4) team, coached by Leanne Farmer (Sancta Maria Netball Club’s president) and co-coached by students Gemma Holt and Aerin Henry. The 9A team (Keira Heffernan, Georgia Moore, Achlyn Barret, Megan Bottom, Togitoto Magele-Rees, Trinity Tuineau, Marielle Venida and Nicole Xu) have remained undefeated this season in the championship round. Coach Leanne Farmer stated, “They are going from strength to strength every week and it’s so exciting to watch! They are such a great bunch of girls to coach… I’m lucky to have them.” Sancta Maria College can be proud of 9A, and all the other teams that represent the school.
