The Kids’ Lit Quiz is an annual worldwide literature quiz for students aged 10 – 13 years.
Kids Lit Quiz Auckland Regional heats were held at St Cuthbert’s College this year on Wednesday 3 May. Sancta Maria College sent a strong group of capable students to represent us.
The heats involve teams of four students answering 100 questions on children’s literature divided into ten categories, which vary each year. Each team is provided with a set of blank answer sheets and one student is the nominated scribe, and after consultation with the rest of the team writes the answer to the questions on the printed sheets provided for each round.
The students that attended (as pictured above) formed two teams who performed very well – whilst not making it to the nationals they certainly represented the school with pride and learned a lot from the experience. Well done teams.
