Lenten Liturgy strengthens our connection with Jesus

Shayani Thamel, Bella Whiting-Jeon, and Audrey Basilio

The Lenten Liturgy is a time in our Liturgical calendar that expresses reflection, repentance, and most importantly, the story of the Last Supper. On Thursday 4 April 2026, the last Thursday before Easter weekend, our school hosted a Lenten Liturgy. This allowed students to gather and gain a deeper understanding of Jesus and his agape (sacrificial) love towards us without being distracted by classwork or lunchtime breaks.  Furthermore, discussing how Jesus’s last words can be inspiring, motivating and evoke deeper meaning.

Certain prefects were chosen to share their own personal spiritual journeys – demonstrating how the last words of Jesus resonated profoundly with their own lives, as they spoke on values such as hope, forgiveness, loving your parents, grief, reassurance, and acceptance.

The Lenten Liturgy supported us in strengthening our relationship with Jesus and developing a greater understanding of how we can relate to Him.

Thank you to our RE Department, SLT, Prefects, Special Character team, and students who made this special occasion meaningful and possible.
