Windy weather makes shooting difficult

Saturday marked yet another round of netball for Sancta Maria’s netball club, with teams achieving some incredible results. However, windy weather conditions proved to be difficult for some teams to score goals.

A special shoutout goes to Sancta Maria C9, winning 20-8 against Willowbank C3. SMC C9 are in College grade 7 and are dominating the grade, currently placing a close second place behind Elim C5. We wish this team the best of luck as they come up to face Elim in future rounds of netball.

Another highlight from the weekend is that of the support shown by Sancta Maria’s netball teams 7A and 8A, with both teams wearing black armbands. The grandad of two of the girls, one in each team, passed away. 8A and 7A showed their support for the family and their teammate by wearing the bands and dedicating the game in honour of the grandad’s passing.
