Sancta Maria College is a co-educational, Year 7–13, State Integrated Catholic College.
While we have a focus on academic excellence, quality opportunities and strong performance in cultural and sporting activities, it is our Special Character that sets us apart.
Our Special Character is based on the values and the teachings of the Catholic Church. All students receive religious instruction as a component of the curriculum, and their development as young people with sound values and a genuine care for others is a priority for the school.
This focus is reflected in our students’ respect and concern for others as they go about discovering and developing their talents every day.
Learning excellence, centred on our Catholic faith, personal growth, service to others and strong academic success.
With Catholic faith as our compass, celebrated in the Eucharistic community at Sancta Maria College, we will nurture confident, compassionate and connected life-long learners. We will be inspired to make a positive difference to a future global community and to the wider Catholic Church to which we belong.
AROHA | We act with love; we care for ourselves, each other and our world |
FAITH | We grow our relationship with Christ |
HOPE | We believe in God’s purpose for our lives |
RESPECT | We think of others first, affirming and upholding the humanity and dignity of all |
Underpinning the curriculum at Sancta Maria College are the following twelve virtues, corresponding to the twelve stars in Our Lady’s crown of glory – Rev 12:1
