APO music mentors help prepare for upcoming festival

Our music students were again lucky enough to have some mentoring from a member of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. This time, cellist Callum Hall was on hand to give some special coaching to two of our Festival Orchestra cellists, Francesca Malveda and Emily Raukura, who are gearing up for a big performance at our upcoming Join Together Festival, which will be a grand joint affair between ourselves, Mission Heights Primary School and Point View School.

The concerts are scheduled for Wednesday the 26th and Thursday the 27th of June (at 7pm at Point View School). Our orchestral players and choristers will form a collective Festival Choir and Orchestra comprising of young performers from all three schools, with performances from other ensembles and groups to boot.

We hope that lots of you will join us for those shows and again thank the APO for helping us work towards making it a special evening.
