On Saturday the 22 September our school’s Big Band was offered a gig at the celebration of Dempsey Woods’ 25th anniversary held at the Auckland Museum. It was the first paid gig for most of our members and all came out of the gig with a little bit of money and snacks.
Altogether we were paid $2200 and it went towards savings for the students and a lunch for other students who went to a jazz workshop the next day. It was a great experience for everyone in our Big Band.
