A World Vision that is. Students are now signing up in CU1 for this year’s 40 Hour Famine which takes place over the weekend of 8-10 June.

It was an adventure-filled and thrilling school holidays for Year 9 students Harrison Edwards and Ryan Clifford as they competed in the North Island Secondary School Orienteering Championships on the Kapiti Coast.

Students from our Chamber Orchestra, Light Orchestra, Primo Ensemble, Junior and Senior Choirs and Concert Band all visited the Town Hall to hear the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in concert as part of the APOPS scheme between the Orchestra and Auckland schools.

This morning 21 students and their 3 teachers from Lycée Blaise Pascal, a Catholic, co-ed college in Noumea, New Caledonia, were welcomed with a powhiri performed by our Kapa Haka, culminating in a hongi.

On a bright sunny day, our prefects were able to see the bright smiling faces of the primary students of Holy Trinity Primary school. As a form of our school giving back to our community, our students headed off to Takanini in order to help out at the new school.

Despite a wholehearted and dominant second half performance the 1st XV could not quite turn around a 24-0 first half deficit, losing 24-12 to Howick College in the opening game of the season.

During Thursday lunch the environment group had their first meeting of Term 2. At this meeting, they discussed what activities group members had participated in over the holidays, as well as discussing future plans for the following term.

A great start to the season, with our Girls 1st XI hockey team scoring a win against Saint Kentigerns at Loyd Elsmore.

Peter Halafihi, Dominic Stolten and Sam Munday took the opportunity to visit Whenuapai air base today.

The Girls 1st XI football team came up against a fast and skillful Botany College in their first game of the season. Conceding a goal early in each half did not make life easy as the girls fell to a 4-0 defeat.
