Clive Luna (Y12) won two Under-17 badminton titles recently. He claimed the Boy’s Singles and Boy’s Doubles titles at the 2019 Auckland Under-17 Open Tournament held at the Auckland Badminton Stadium (Gillies Ave). He also reached the semi-finals in the Mixed-Doubles event.
Two weeks prior, Clive played in two international open tournaments where he faced tough competition from a strong contingent of international players. Early in February, he won the Men’s Singles Plate and Men’s Doubles Plate events at the Auckland/North Island Open. In March, he reached the semi-finals in the Men’s Doubles event and the quarterfinals of the Men’s Singles and Mixed Doubles events at the Waitakere Under-19 Open.
