Crisha Cruz was presented with her Star of the Week award by Ms Moore at assembly on Tuesday morning.
During the Auckland Volleyball Championships Crisha picked up injuries and muscle pains throughout her body but despite that she still played at 100% and never ever gave up. She continued to get back on court to motivate the rest of the team.
On the last day of the tournament the opposing team was leading 8-1 in the third and final set and Sancta Maria College was struggling to stay in the competition. However, because of the determination Crisha displayed she ensured her team’s comeback and eventual win as she saved every spike and hit coming her way, ensuring victory for the girls.
