Sophia Milantoni is playing the lead role of Gabriella Montez in next week’s performance of High School Musical Jr. The character she plays joins East High School and is an academic genius with a wonderful singing voice. She catches Troy’s attention the first day she comes to school and starts singing with him and ends up singing with Troy in the school’s musical production.
Sophia has little previous musical experience and is looking forward to appearing on stage for the first time. Sophia enjoys playing the guitar and ukulele, and, of course, singing. Sophia says her main challenge is playing a character that is the complete opposite of herself. “I am a little nervous but also very excited about the upcoming musical performance,” says Sophia.
