Find out who’s who in High School Musical Jr

Playing the lead role of Troy Bolton is Elijah Rata. “Before I got the lead, I had background in music. I learnt and played piano for two years, but later decided to move on. The teacher basically taught us songs we would like to learn. By picking a familiar song, we had to sing and perform it in a crowd at the end of the year annual recital to raise money for charity.

I find having a bigger role better than my other previous role as Zeke because it is more challenging. But the most interesting is singing the songs I like especially ‘What I’ve been Looking For Reprise’.

I would say I am excited but nervous as well because I was chosen to be Troy at the last minute and it has kind of made me stressed and feel pressured. But other than that, I’m just more excited to act in the role of Troy more than singing.”
