International Students BBQ

The table was filled with exquisite cuisine from many different cultures such as fried rice, noodles, roast duck dumplings, sausages, cake and ice cream.

When the international students, along with their families and homestays, arrived at Sancta Maria College last Friday evening, they were not only greeted with the aroma of food, but were also able to enjoy numerous entertaining games. These ranged from sack racing to balancing an egg on a spoon as you walked. There were even activities such as walking as best as you can with a balloon between your legs.

Not only was the food delectable, but the weather was also just right. A slight breeze but overall quite comfortable. Many of the students found the dinner very enjoyable.

“I think it was good…we were able to take a lot of selfies.”

Many of the new international students found the barbeque to be an innovating way to socialise with other international students and their families.

“It is a great chance to get to know more about each other.”

The day was thoroughly enjoyed by many and the students look forward to another appetising meal and socialising opportunity at the barbeque next year.
