Both our Junior Jazz Combo and Senior Jazz Combo have received awards from their performances in the Auckland Schools Jazz Band Competition, with the Juniors received a Bronze award and the Seniors a Silver.
Mr Cho and Senior Jazz drummer Josh Hunt returned to the venue (Port Chevalier RSA) to receive the awards.
This is great recognition for the fine work that Mr Cho and his students have put in over the last few months to create the first Jazz Combos at Sancta Maria College – both of which are a fine complement to our full Jazz Band.
