One of our school’s combos, Midnight Quartet, and our Big Band have both made the finals of the Auckland Jazz and Blues Club Secondary School competition. This is a huge achievement as the field of jazz is dominated by a few select schools in Auckland and to be part of this event shows how far we have come.
The venue for the finals this coming Saturday is Pt Chev RSA! It will be great to see a good turnout from the Sancta Maria community supporting us at the finals! The final will run from 1pm till 5pm. Combos will perform 1pm-2:15pm, there will be a short interval and then Big Band will perform 2:40-4:20pm. Following the Big Band performances the judges will deliberate and then we will have the awards presentation.
