On Sunday the prefects from Auckland and Hamilton Catholic schools gathered together at St Patrick’s Cathedral to celebrate ‘The Passion’, the Palm Sunday Auckland Diocese Youth Mass, hosted by the Logos Project and year 13 school leaders. The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Kevin.
It was a follow up to the Salt and Light Retreat attended by the 2021 prefects at Eastern Beach at the start of the year.
Our school leaders, Felix, Nathan, Sydney and Elijah, were given different roles in the Mass which included welcoming, prayers of the faithful, offertory and collection.
At the end of the Mass, Father blessed and commissioned the year 13 student leaders and they were presented with a certificate in recognition of the leadership they demonstrated at the Salt and Light retreat.
After Mass, there was hot chocolate, tea and biscuits to savour and a chance to mingle and reflect on the leadership journey.
The students thoroughly enjoyed catching up with each other and bonding together once again!
