Having been introduced to the Sancta Maria College community the new head prefects for 2019, Maurice de Jesus and Tahlisa Stevens, talked to us about their journey at Sancta Maria College and how they feel privileged and excited to serve for this wonderful year ahead.
In addition, the deputy prefects who will be serving alongside our head prefects were also introduced:
Special Character – Johnny Elboutty and Aislinn Manuyag
Service to Community – David Patlong and Kelly Mascarenhas
The morning had begun with a powerful Powhiri lead by the school’s Kapa Haka group. We were then lead in prayer so that the year of 2019 would be full of great opportunities and bountiful blessings. In addition, we were also reminded that this year is the ‘year of gratitude’ and that we should be thankful for our peers, teachers, students, family and many more for guiding us towards the right path with Jesus.
