Meet our 2026 House Prefects

Akaroa House
Kia ora! My name is Kleon Lae Ninofranco, you can call me Kley for short, and I am one of your Akaroa House Prefects for 2026.

A little about me – I love music a lot. In fact, I used to play the violin since I was in Year 2 to just recently last year. I love listening to all music genres, especially R&B and old school music. I also enjoy playing the guitar, singing, and watching KDramas in my spare time. Summer is my favourite season where I love going to the beach and going swimming with my family.

As one of your Akaroa House Prefects this year, I look forward to amplifying Akaroa’s house spirit to encourage more participation and enthusiasm within the house. I want to ensure that everyone in Akaroa gives everything a go, tries their best, and most importantly has fun despite the odds. I want everyone in Akaroa to have a memorable time and grow together during our time at Sancta.

A piece of advice from me as a Year 13 now is that you do not only live once unlike the famous saying, but you get to live every day. So do not take any moment for granted and cherish each day, each other, and every moment with your peers at Sancta; you are all given a new opportunity to take charge and own each new day. Take risks, have courage, and surround yourself with love and good people. Live life with no regrets J

Hokianga House
Hi, I’m Kael Sunga and I am honoured to be your Hokianga House prefect for 2026. I’m so excited and privileged to serve and represent our house.  Outside of school, I love to dance as it keeps me active and is a great way to get my mind focused.

This year, I aim to strengthen our house spirit through bringing all students together to further encourage participation in house events. I look forward to forming strong connections with everyone I work with and create memories we can remember.

I encourage everyone to simply get involved, time at school goes by faster than you would expect. Make the most of the opportunities you have and give them all your 100%. Support one another in all aspects and always have faith as your compass.

My name is Elrick Ramos, and I am honored to be your Hokianga House Prefect for 2026. Having attended Sancta Maria since Year 0, I have a deep connection to our school community. Outside of my studies, I am a seasoned basketball player of ten years and the eldest of two.

Kororāreka House
Hello! I’m Kimberley De Silva, one of the Kororāreka house prefects for 2026. One thing about me is that my favourite colour is blue and whenever there’s an option for a colour blue, I’ll always take it. One thing I’m looking forward to this year as house prefect is to encourage everyone in Kororāreka to participate, be positive, be proud and not embarrassed to show energy and passion. Lastly as a piece of advice for students below Year 13 is to always try your best in everything because it’s better to try than to not start at all.

Hi, my name is Nathan, I’m 17 years old and I’m proud to be the Red House (Kororāreka) Prefect for 2026. I love playing football and spending time with my friends, and sport is a big part of who I am. I enjoy being active, working as part of a team, and pushing myself to improve both on and off the field.

As House Prefect, I’m really looking forward to helping build strong house spirit, encouraging everyone to get involved, and making this year one to remember for Kororāreka. I want to lead by example and create an environment where everyone feels supported and motivated to do their best.

My advice to younger students would be to get involved in as much as you can, don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone, and always back yourself. The years go by quickly, so make the most of every opportunity.

Waitematā House
Hi everyone, my name is Lyla Latay, and I am one of the 2026 Waitematā House Prefects. I’m a Year 13 student who values faith, family, and kindness, and I love being involved in school life both in and out of the classroom. Outside of school, I enjoy staying active, spending time with the people closest to me, and challenging myself to grow in new ways. This year, I’m most looking forward to strengthening house spirit and helping create an environment where everyone feels confident to get involved and be themselves. My advice to younger students would be to back yourself, take opportunities even when they feel scary, and remember that every experience helps you grow into the person you’re meant to become.

Hi, my name is Lennard Regala, and I am super excited to be your Waitematā house prefect for 2026. I have attended Sancta Maria College since Year 7 and I love to play sport with my favourite being basketball. I also enjoy jamming my guitar in my free time. My goal for this year is to create a united community not just in our house, but across the school. I want to create connections with everyone in our house especially, and get everyone involved in every opportunity the school has to offer. Some advice is that you should give everything you’re all and make connections while you still can as you will not be at school with your peers forever.
