The Origami Club has been busy creating Christmas decorations for rest homes in our local community.
Run by student leaders Jana Lopez, Claire Aragon, Jersey-Leigh Gallardo, Cindy Tran, Sian Villeran, Charles Gomez, Greta Taruc and Ethan Siao, the club is a community service project that uses the art of origami to transform squares of brightly coloured paper into decorations.
From Christmas stars to wreaths and trees, some small, some big and some that took a lot of time, the number of creations grew as the number of students involved increased.
Towards the end of the school year members of the group will go to various retirement homes to decorate their dining rooms, bringing Christmas cheer to the residents.
