Purple Cupcake Day

By selling purple cupcakes $573.10 was raised and will be sent to help the children of Nepal, Kenya and Haiti gain an education. Every dollar of our donation will help children who are less fortunate than us.

The annual Purple Cupcake Day was organized by the Year 10 French students and held in the school’s main courtyard. Every year, the French Department donates the money raised to help children in need overseas. This year, we chose to help provide an education for homeless families in Nepal, Kenya and Haiti.

A large number of students from all year levels baked purple goodies to be bought by the rest of the school body.

Purple Cupcake Day was a chance for students to learn about kindness and compassion towards those in need. On behalf of the French Department, we would like to thank all of the students who either baked or bought for the cause.

We would also like to congratulate Francesca Abesamis, Francesca Adams, Samantha Bottom, Catherine Chan, Lorenzo Cruz, Jean Joseph, Andrea Jurgens, Daniela Romero-Mittelstaedt, Adam Martis, Jon Adam Tonacao, Thea Garcia, Sahil Singh, Kendall Warren, Michelle Zhou, and especially Madam Read, for organising this event.
