Quintin makes a splash

At the biggest New Zealand Secondary School Swimming Championships ever, with over 750 competitors, Quintin Wong made quite a splash, winning four silver medals and a bronze.

Quintin won silver in the 200m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke, 200m backstroke and 200m individual medley. His bronze medal came in the 100m individual medley.

Quintin also reached four other finals, finishing in 4th place in the 100m backstroke, 5th in the 200m freestyle, 6th in the 50m breaststroke and 8th in the 100m butterfly.

The competition this year was tough. Quintin’s times in the 100m breaststroke, 200m breaststroke and 200m backstroke were quicker than the winning times from previous years.
