On Friday 18 July 2025, Sancta Maria College held its long-running, annual Talent Quest to allow our many talented students to showcase their skills in front of the whole school. We had five awesome acts this year, which took the judges and school by storm. This year was especially unique because it was the first time we had house performances. Every house had an opportunity to get together and organise something to represent their house.
This year’s acts were:
- Chicken Burrito (band), performing their original, ‘Unanswered’
- Devon Mah-Kwan, also known as Devondalemon (singing), performing ‘Your Way’s Better’
- Septr (band), performing ‘Love Like You’
- Mwahaha (band), performing ‘From The Start’
- David Gibson (piano), performing ‘Liebestraum’

Additionally, congrats to Waitematā, who came out with the win for this year’s house performance!
Well done to all the performers – it takes bravery to perform in front of over 1000 people and you are all incredibly talented.
Thank you very much to everyone who was involved – house prefects, AV team, arts, technical and logistics committees, the judges, and the whole school for watching and participating. Additional thanks to the MCs, Aniseto, Junior and Jono for entertaining us all! It was truly an awesome event, and many felt it was the best Talent Quest to date. A very special mention to the Arts Prefects, Maria Maldonado Diaz and Martina Sanchez, who managed and organised all of this – it couldn’t have happened without them.
