Mrs Caudy invited former student of Sancta Maria College (now first responder paramedic), Tyler Andrews, to teach the Sound Crew advanced first-aid. This included what to do if a person is unresponsive, has an athsma attack, if a diabtetic’s blood sugar is too high or too low, and how to perform CPR.
The lesson ended with a CPR assessment, which we all passed. Many members commented on how the skills were good to know (even though they hope they never have to use them), and they might come in handy one day. Sound Crew learnt a lot, and are thankful to both Mrs Caudy and Tyler for the opportunity.
