Sancta Maria College held its first Wellbeing Walk around Barry Curtis Park during term 3. Our junior students were split according to houses with Akaroa and Hokianga walking on the 26 August 2025 and Kororāreka and Waitematā walking on 2 September.
This emphasis on the exercise was to encourage a healthy lifestyle amongst students. Students enjoyed the fresh air and focused on face-to-face communication without devices, as well as exercising. Students took part in a healthy activity while boosting their mood in a mindful setting. Each of these benefits improved our wellbeing, helping us to live happier and healthier lives.
Thank you to Mrs Lal, Mr Naicker and all the teachers for organising this event. We hope this activity continues next year.
