In an historical first, Sancta Maria College won the prestigious Year 10 Auckland Mathex Competition at the Barfoot & Thompson Stadium, beating 120 other Auckland teams.Surpassing a previous best of (around) 7th place, the team of Wan Yao, Amelie Chan, Keilan Ngan Woo Matoha and Isabella Lee (Runner) reached the total of 100 points first in only 18 minutes, just beating a very strong Macleans A team. The other teams from Years 7-10 all competed strongly to represent the school with pride.
