On 14 May 2025, Year 7 students headed to Auckland Zoo for a day of exploration and learning. Met by Zoo staff, they learnt how adaptations enable animals to survive and thrive in their habitat by observing habitats of the Africa Safari Track at Auckland’s Zoo. They also enjoyed the new Dinosaur Discovery Track. Staff also told the students why it is important to protect and care for species.
The trip wasn’t just classroom-based learning, they were able to enjoy seeing the animals in their own habitats and ask Zoo staff questions they had. Thank you to all staff who organised this wonderful day filled with laughs, learning and memories.
