Year 8 Museum Trip

The Year 8 students took an exciting trip to the Auckland War Memorial Museum to open their minds and eyes to different types of volcanoes.

Many students said how much they enjoyed the exhilarating earthquake room which simulated how it would feel to be in a real earthquake.

Learning about new types of volcanic rocks was also very interesting as many can be found around the Auckland region and that is why it was important for the students to know about them.

They can use this information in their school work and visiting the museum is a fantastic way of learning science. Not only did the Year 8 students appreciate the information they received, but they also enjoyed a day out with their friends.
