Young Vinnies Retreat

2017 kicked off for our senior Young Vinnies as they attended an after school retreat hosted by the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.

It was an afternoon of fun and learning, full of ice breaker activities that pulled our seniors closer together as a family. It prepared our Vinnies for a year of dedication and service for those in need. It enabled them to explore the true meaning of the values: Faith, Service, Reverence and Integrity through brainstorming in groups and sharing with the rest of their peers.

Once they had broken the ice, they were able to share their love for food as Ms Fouhy prepared a banquet of pizzas for our seniors to share. Once stomachs were full, activities resumed where eyes were opened to the realisation of the major problems of the world, touching everyone’s heart..

The retreat concluded with everyone closer together as they shared prayers and sang a song as one.

It was an educational journey that all the senior Vinnies truly enjoyed.
