An exciting way to start P.E.

For two Year 7 classes, P.E. started off with a bang. Mr. Marnewick from NZ Rugby was teaching 7LIS and 7DNN some fun and exciting games like ‘rob the nest’ and ‘rat, rabbit and rhino’ in the gym.

Both these games were to develop our FMS (Fundamental Movement Skills). FMS includes balance skills, locomotor skills such as running, jumping, hopping and ball skills such as throwing and catching.

We will have two more lessons with Mr. Marnewick, where we will probably learn how to play Quick Rip rugby. It was an interesting way to start P.E. and get moving after 3 weeks of sitting in a classroom learning Health.
