Year 10 students had the opportunity this year to enter a competition run by the Waihi Lions Club.

What an exciting day…..18 teams of 4 with each player playing 6 matches.

The commotion of construction workers and machinery, busy building a new block underneath the school’s library, has left Sancta Maria a bustling college. Many members of the school’s community have witnessed the efficient progress of the new block and are curious as to what will be the newest addition to the school.

The library ‘quiet room’ was abuzz with excitement as Year 7 and 8 students gathered for the Funky Friday spelling bee.

Wednesday was an exhausting but fun day for 3 year 8 boys – Harrison Edwards, Tyler Halliday and Ryan Clifford.

The first XI Girls Football team kicked off their season with a hit out against Pukekohe High on Wednesday.

The second week of Term 2 kickstarts with selected students in Year 12 and 13 attending a Workplace Health and Safety Course.

This week saw the first public outing for our Senior Choir, who were invited to perform for the residents at the local Bruce McLaren Retirement Home.

On Saturday night, Young Vinnies school leaders and other members celebrated a very special Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
