Every Tuesday afternoon from 3:30-5:00pm, the Gym welcomes students from Year 7-10 to the badminton after school programme.
This offers students the chance to learn more about badminton and develop their skills with fun games and activities. Anyone from beginners to experienced players can join and it’s truly about giving everyone a go and just enjoying it. The programme has seen an increase in numbers and it is great for those who may have nothing to do or maybe just want to get active and try something new.
As exams loom closer it gives the chance for students to relax, and research does show that sports and exercise helps your mind as well as your body, meaning that it can help to calm you down especially during a period of time when you may be stressed or studying for a test.
So if you’re bored and aren’t too busy, head along to the Gym on Tuesday afternoons and get involved in a great sport.
