Our school community recognised the hard work and achievements of the senior students with an extra special assembly to commend them on their academic success. In this special assembly, we also recognized those Year 13s who have been appointed to various prefect roles.

Sea week has begun and students are getting involved by drawing pictures and writing messages with chalk around the drains in Dominic courtyard.

Sea week runs from the 3rd -11th March to raise awareness of how litter gets into the oceans, harming sea life and birds.

As part of the year 12 PE Studies course, Mr. Bacon, Mr. Camp, Mrs. Heffernan and Mrs. Holmes took 42 students camping at Tawharanui Regional Park. They all had a fantastic experience, creating many memories they will cherish forever. The week consisted of cloudy and sunny weather, with the students returning tanned and a bit burnt.

The story of the tragic hero came to life in front of their eyes.

The Year 7s had quite the eye-opener of a day on Wednesday as they embarked on their first Sancta Maria College retreat; jam-packed with quirky games, deep reflection and everything in between, there was something there for everyone.

The Year 7 and 8 students went on a record-breaking spree last Friday, creating 17 new records.
