Enrolments for 2027
Families will be able to submit applications either online or by collecting and completing a paper application from the College. Online applications for 2027 enrolments will open on Wednesday 11 March 2026, it is important that you read and understand our enrolment scheme. To help you prepare, please ensure you have gathered all supporting documents required for your enrolment priority. Below is a list of Supporting documents required to apply (these can be completed and compiled prior to submission):
Preference of Enrolment Certificate for the Catholic Diocese of Auckland
This form must be printed, filled in and signed by your Parish Priest. If submitting an online application, this signed document must be uploaded along with all other required paperwork. (If you do not meet any of the criteria (5.1–5.5), you are not required to complete this form).
Required Documents
Please upload the following documents with your online application:
- Completed Preference of Enrolment Certificate
- Baptism Certificate and any other Sacramental Certificates (if applicable)
- Birth Certificate or Passport
- New Zealand Residency, Work Permit, or Student Visa (if applicable)
- Most recent full school report
- Immunisation Certificate from your GP (Plunket book not accepted)
- Proof of address x 2 (Rates or utility bill, less than 3 months old)
- New Zealand Residency Visa or Citizenship papers (if applicable)
File Requirements – please ensure that each document is saved as an individual PDF file and each file is clearly named according to the document type (e.g., “Preference of Enrolment Certificate”).
Priority of Enrolment
Sancta Maria College has a Ministry of Education approved enrolment scheme that has clearly defined priorities of enrolment. Please see the description below for identified boundaries.
NOTE: Incomplete Application Forms that do not include all required information will not be processed and will be returned. Please identify the category under which you are making application – tick each box and attach a photocopy (no originals).
Priority 1
In-Zone Catholic Students attending:
Our Lady Star of the Sea School, St Marks School, Sancta Maria Catholic Primary School
- Preference form signed by Priest
- Baptism Certificate
- Evidence of residential address (e.g. Power Account)
- Current Immunisation certificate
- Student’s most recent school report in your possession
Priority 2
Out of Zone Catholic Students attending:
Our Lady Star of the Sea School, St Marks School,
Sancta Maria Catholic Primary School
- Preference form signed by Priest
- Baptism Certificate
Priority 3
Other In-Zone Catholic Students NOT attending:

Non-preference students will be enrolled only if enrolment places remain after all preference applicants have been enrolled. The maximum number of places available for non-preference students will be governed by the maximum allowable under the College’s Integration Agreement.
Waiting List Procedure:
All unsuccessful applicants may choose to have their names placed on a waiting list. The waiting list will be kept within relevant priority categories, ranked in order. Students on the waiting list may be offered places at a later date if they become available. The waiting list will remain current until the beginning of the next enrolment intake.
Zone Description
Starting at the Otara Creek, the zone boundary follows the Tamaki River northwards and follows the coastline around Musick Point, around Whitford, Beachlands and Maraetai until the Wairoa River.
Follow the Wairoa River and across to the intersection of North Road, Twilight Road and Papakura-Clevedon Road.
From there, a line is drawn westward until the intersection of Whitford Park Road and Sandstone Road, so as to exclude Ara-Kotinga, Kimpton Road and Polo Lane.
Follow Sansdstone Road until Ormiston Road, including Regis Lane and Shepherds Lane. From there, follow Ormiston Road to the west including turning south into Murphys Road.
Follow Murphys Road until Thomas Road. Head west down to Thomas Road (south sides excludes) and Dawson Road (south sides excluded) until Te Irirangi Drive.
Head north along Te Irirangi Drive (west side excluded until Belinda Avenue. From there, follow a line around Belinda Avenue (excluded), and Rongomai Road (excluded), until the intersection of Rongomai Road and Dawson Road.
Head north along Preston Road (west side excluded), East Tamaki Road (west side excluded) and Springs Road (west side excluded) until Kerwyn Avenue.
Head west along Kerwyn Avenue and south down Andromeda Crescent until the Otara Creek.
NOTE: Both sides of boundary roads are included in the zone, unless otherwise stated.
