On Tuesday, 19 February, Sancta Maria College had around 25 orienteerers from a variety of year levels take part in the first of eight events in the Sprint Series.
The event, hosted in conjunction with Counties Manukau Orienteering and Farm Cove Intermediate, was a first for many of our students. According to some of the orienteerers from last year, Sancta Maria College had nearly double the number of students this time around.
With four coaches, some of them current NZ international competitors and ex-national coaches, being organised, those new to orienteering will soon be brought up to speed.
The next event in the series will be at our own Sancta Maria College on Tuesday, 26 February.
