After a series of Peer Support training workshops (2017 December workshops and 2018 February after school workshops), Year 11 & Year 12 Peer Support Student Leaders are off to an encouraging start in their roles as older students supporting and mentoring their younger peers.
In their regular ‘planning-feedback-feedforward’ lunchtime meetings both Year 11 and Year 12 Peer Support Leaders work collaboratively in the planning of their Peer Support Homeroom activities.
Working in small groups, it is clear to see the ‘qualities of friends’ in Year 12 Peer Support Leaders in their lively leading of Year 8 student group activities and discussions.
Year 11 Peer Support Leaders are equally passionate in their interactions with their Year 7 Homeroom students. All work together as a team while at the same time each leader is growing the characteristics of being a big brother or a sister to their younger peers.
