It was so close, yet so far, once again for Joshua Pereira. Our College’s number one tennis player showed skill and fighting spirit as he made his way into the semi-finals of the Auckland Secondary Schools Tennis Championships, held at Scarbro Tennis Centre.
Out of the 22 competitors in the senior grade, Joshua was able to reach the semi-finals for the second consecutive year. He won his first match 9-2 and his quarter final 6-1 6-2. However, he wasn’t able to go one better than last year, losing in the semi-final 6-0 7-6 (5).
