The Technology department has just gained some exciting new technology in the form of a Laser cutter. It will cut a variety of materials e.g. wood, plastic, glass, fabric and leather.
It will also engrave an image or any design onto the surface of appropriate materials. An image can be downloaded from the internet and converted into an appropriate file format for the machine to work with.
While it resides in CG9 it has been purchased by a number of curriculum groups within the school so hopefully it will be used extensively not only in Technology but also Art, Business Studies and many others who see an opportunity.
