Mary Crowe and Kelly Mascarenhas claimed this week’s ‘Star’ awards for their outstanding efforts to promote the needs of those who are less fortunate.
Mary claimed the Junior Star of the Week Award for donating some of her hair to help individuals with cancer. Mary found out she could show support by cutting and donating her hair to provide them with a real-hair wig, making a real difference to their appearance.
Kelly Mascarenhas is awarded the Senior Star of the Week for winning the local zone Lions Young Ambassador Leadership Award ‘Lions Opportunities for Youth’ initiative, sponsored by Lions Papatoetoe, at the Bucklands Beach Lions Club. Kelly’s leadership emphasis was on raising awareness of the suffering caused by child abuse.
