During Special Character Week Sancta Maria held our very popular Talent Quest. This took place in the Auditorium at approximately 1-3. There were many talented students performing. This amazing event was filled with singing and dancing. The audience was enthusiastic and enjoyed the show. After the 11 performances there was a dance battle between every year level. The individuals that went up were very energetic and fun to watch.
Near the end of the afternoon were the awards. A few performers were commended honourable mentions: the singer, Kayla Jones, and the dancers, Ayesha & Akshita. The singers: Elijah, Josue, Carsten, and Miguel were awarded People’s Vote. These four seniors put on an emotional, beautiful performance with a song they had composed. Third place went to the singer Shania Carter-Chan, who put on a thrilling show. Second was Zoe Martis, a very dynamic dancer. And the Winner of the SMC Talent Quest of 2021 was… Kayla Kippen, a senior who surprised everyone with her angelic singing.
This afternoon was exciting and a huge success which is why this event is one of the highlights of the year.
