The Real Art Roadshow is two fantastic collections of real New Zealand art that wheel their way to schools throughout the country.
The mobile art gallery unfolds to form an 80 square metre space and displays over 60 original artworks by some of New Zealand’s leading artists. It is New Zealand’s biggest travelling art collection.
The Sancta Maria College Art Department organised for one of these exciting collections to visit the school for two days. All Year 7 and 8 students were given the opportunity to participate in viewing the exhibits that the Real Art Roadshow offered.
The students perused the work, asking relevant and inquiring questions before being guided into finding out more about the art work by completing fun activities with the Roadshow educator.
An informative and thrilling time was had by all.
