From Sunday 30th of October – Thursday 3rd of November, 10 Lucky Year 10 students along with Ms. Goulding had the opportunity to represent the school on the annual Spirit of Adventure trip. This was a once in a lifetime experience where students from different schools got to build their confidence and where they could step out of their comfort zone.

Despite having to wake up at 6:30 in the morning, they had the time of their lives. They got the chance to swim with dolphins and they got the chance to race against other schools in a raft race.

“We may have got destroyed, as what took some teams 15minutes took us an hour. Although we came last I probably gained another 10 years onto my life because of laughter. We then came to the realization that it wasn’t all about winning but just to enjoy and make the most of it as you YOLO (you only live once),” said David Patlong.

Overall, this experience pushed their boundaries and they learnt valuable lessons like winning isn’t everything and that we need to live life to the fullest.
