The Peer Support Leaders for 2019 have been preparing for the roles we will take on next year under the guidance and leadership of Mrs Kevern. We will be working alongside the Year 7s, being a ‘big brother or sister’ to them so they can more easily adjust to their new school environment.
We will support them next year and help them develop new friendships as well as developing the confidence to make the most of the opportunities the College provides.
We have done a range of activities ourselves, including writing lyrics and singing these to the tune of ‘I Want It That Way”. As a group, we have got to know each other better while learning about ‘servant leadership’ and ‘leading by example’.
The Peer Support group 2019 can’t wait to get started and meet our younger peers next year!
