Year 12 and 13 Art and Design Gallery trip

Inspiration can be found anywhere. This was the way of thinking for our Year 12 and 13 Art and Design students when taking a trip to several galleries on Thursday.

The Auckland Art gallery provided students with a range of diverse pieces. From feminist concepts in colourful graphic design to Aotearoa’s cultural heritage in living portraits, to getting your groove on in the interactive DiscoVERY space. Our students were very well entertained with the varied material.

The adventure continued as we moved on to three more galleries, inclusive of the Art Space gallery. Presenting the Layover exhibition created a sense of awe and reflection on the topic of moments in one’s culture. Learning from the collective of pieces led by indigenous curators created an enriching and subjective experience for our future artists and designers.
