The Boys Under 15 football team have just finished a very successful season. This is the first time these boys have played together but their skills were very quickly on show.

The Year 11 and Year 12 Sancta Maria College art classes went on an art trip. The two classes left on a bus and traveled to the Hillsborough Homestead, also known as Pah Homestead.

This year’s KBB Festival was a spectacular event for the musical ensembles of many Auckland schools and Sancta Maria College was no exception, with our Big Band, Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra all picking up awards.

The school is donating eight boxes of books to Mt Eden Prison library. They are expanding their library and are keen to add some more young adult fiction to their collection.

Mr Cho led Sancta Maria College’s Big Band in to this year’s KBB Festival with an augmented line up compared with last year and the quantity was backed up with quality.

The Y7&8 hockey girls set off from Sancta Maria College, ready for a big day of hockey at North Harbour Hockey grounds. This is the first Sancta Maria girls’ hockey team to win through to an Auckland inter zone competition.

Our Concert Band was the last of our three ensembles to perform at the KBB Festival under the expert direction of Mr Arthur.

A fast start and determined defending saw Sancta Maria College defeat Rutherford High School 24-12 to claim the 1C rugby title.

Sancta Maria College’s Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Mr Gibbs, was the first of our school ensembles to take part in this year’s KBB Music Festival.

Every Tuesday afternoon from 3:30-5:00pm, the Gym welcomes students from Year 7-10 to the badminton after school programme.
