The discipline of synchronized skating, or synchro, comprises of skaters forming shapes such as circles, blocks, lines, wheels and intersections in unison. In Sancta Maria College, we have six of these synchronized figure skaters. The Year 7s enjoyed singing their peer support songs this morning. An exciting way to finish off the term. They had been learning them during the last few weeks under the guidance of the peer support leaders who gave their time to be with the Year 7s during homeroom. We finished day two with a campfire. Day 3 more activities, climbing nets and having fun. Today we packed up and headed home.
On Saturday the 22 September our school’s Big Band was offered a gig at the celebration of Dempsey Woods’ 25th anniversary held at the Auckland Museum. It was the first paid gig for most of our members and all came out of the gig with a little bit of money and snacks.

The Sancta Maria College community had a pink start to their day this morning. The Young Vinnies cooked up a storm for a Pink Breakfast with the help of Mr Rogers, Mr Schroder and Mrs Stevens, and raised over $1000 for the Cancer Society.
